My name is Colin Hurst and I am vicar of St. Andrew's parish church in Wigan in the diocese of Liverpool. This blog is simply my regular reflections on the Christian life as we live it in the Church of England. The Church's worship and annual round of feasts and fasts is important to me, and will be reflected very strongly in my posts. The Church's worship is for me, right at the heart of what it means to live the Christian life. I do believe that it is only possible to live an authentic Christian life as a member of a worshiping community, a member of the Church, the Body of Christ.
